What is the point of using tinted moisturizer instead of regular moisturizer?

Tinted moisturizers have just what the name implies, some color added to the moisturizer. Tinted moisturizers give your face a hint of color, so you do not look like you are wearing foundation makeup. Foundation makeup is heavier and covers the skin and its imperfections, whereas tinted moisturizers are lightweight and may help even out skin tone, but will not cover up age spots, freckles, or blemishes. Also, as with regular moisturizers, always look for tinted moisturizers with an SPF of at least 15.
