Some of my coworkers tell rude jokes. Many jokes make fun of other races. We all laugh, but only to be polite. Lately, I've been feeling like I should say something to stop this type humor. Am I being too sensitive? I can't leave and work elsewhere as we all have small cubicles together. I have left to get coffee or say that I have to make copies, but when I return, they tell me the jokes that I've missed.
Signed,

Dear Humorless,
Silence only condones racist remarks. Although your coworkers are telling "jokes," it's really disguised racism. I would certainly speak up and say that you feel the jokes are racist and demeaning and would rather not hear any. Who knows, it may even enlighten your joke-telling coworkers.
