Bride and Groom Presented Following Ceremony
Dear Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee,
At the completion of a wedding ceremony, which form of introduction would be the preferred?
It is now my pleasure to introduce for the first time:
1. Mr. and Mrs. John and Dr. Jane Smith.
2. Mr. John and Dr. Jane Smith.
3. Dr. Jane and Mr. John Smith.
Signed,
Reverend
Dear Reverend,
You can ask the bride and groom before the ceremony how they would like to be presented. Three possibilities are:
1. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
2. John and Jane, husband and wife
3. Dr. Jane Smith and Mr. John Smith
If titles are preferred, then the one with the professional title is listed first.
