For formal correspondence, the title goes with the full name. Because different denominations have different titles, here are some examples: Reverend John Doe, Father John Doe, or Rabbi John Doe

If married, then: The Reverend and Mrs. John Doe

If the woman is a clergyperson and the man is not, then write: The Reverend Jane Doe and Mr. John Doe.
