My wife and I attended a wedding reception where a buffet was served. I helped myself when it was time, sat down, and started eating. My wife told me that I should have waited until all the guests at our table were seated. Is she right?

Dear Starved,
If dining at a buffet, then you do not have to wait for all the guests at your table to be seated. However, you should wait until at least a few guests have seated themselves at your table before digging in.
If you had to wait for all the guests to be seated from the buffet, then your dinner would get cold.
