Our favorite breakfast cereal is a variation of Rip Esselstyn's recipe, "Rip’s Big Bowl" (engine2diet.com). Basically, our recipe consists of whole oats, shredded wheat, flaxseed, ftuits, and nuts.
Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee’s Superfood Breakfast (one serving)
In your cereal bowl, combine the following:
1/2 Cup old-fashioned oats
1 Tablespoon ground flaxseed
1/2 Cup Kirkland Wholesome Fruit & Nuts (dried cranberries, dried cherries, almonds, walnuts, dry-roasted pistachios)
1 Tablespoon blueberries (fresh or dried)
Half a banana cut up small pieces
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Soy Milk (organic) enough to cover cereal
Optional: Add more fruit: tablespoon other fresh fruits cut small such as pineapple, mango, strawberry, cantaloupe.
