Either way of wearing boots are stylish. You can wear boots under or over the jeans depending on the type of jeans. Boot cut jeans will go over the boots easier. If wearing knee high boots over jeans, the boots will fit easier if the jeans have skinny or straight legs. Also, if you tuck your jeans into your socks, your boots will slip on much easier over the jeans.
